The fare is 7 pesos to Rincon de Guayabitos, La Penita de Jaltemba, and La Colonia; each way, to and from Los Ayala. The collectivos run daily about every 15-20 minutes from approximately 6:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.. In Los Ayala, you may hop on the Collectivo anywhere on the main avenue in town; Bahia de Banderas.

Bus & Taxi to Los Ayala, Nayarit
From the Puerto Vallarta Airport
A taxi from the airport entrance to Los Ayala will cost approximately 1200 pesos. All taxi drivers at the airport are licensed and carry the required insurance in case of an accident. If you walk across the bridge to the other side of the highway, the taxi fare to Los Ayala will cost 600-800 pesos depending on how well you negotiate. Be safe and choose a licensed taxi driver as your preferred transportation.
If you plan to take the bus to Los Ayala, the easiest way to do so is to take a taxi from the airport to the Central Bus Station. The taxi fare to the central bus station, from the airport entrance is ~ 170 pesos. If you walk across the bridge to the taxi stand on the other side of the highway the taxi fare to the Central Bus Station is ~ 70 pesos.
At the Central Bus Station, catch a Pacifico Bus to La Penita. The bus fare to La Penita is ~ 90 pesos. Pacifico is the only long distance bus that stops at the small towns along highway 200.
Please note; During low season the last Pacifico Bus to La Penita departs from Puerto Vallarta at 8 p.m Nayarit time.... If you miss this bus, the next bus departs at 4 a.m.
From La Penita take a taxi to Los Ayala for a fare of ~ 35-40 pesos. If you do not have too, much luggage, you may opt to take a Colectivo to Los Ayala, for which the fare is just 7 pesos.
