At the Beach...
Stroll the kilometer long beach of Los Ayala. Pack a picnic and hike to nearby Playa del Beso, or all the way to Punta Raza. Rent a kayak and explore the Nayarit coast and its' many hidden coves and beaches. Ride a jet ski; enjoy the thrill of a banana boat ride; snorkel around the rocks between Playa del Beso, and the south end of Los Ayala; take in some sun, relax and read a great novel....

Hop on Los Ayala's "Gran Fiesta" and sing and dance to your hearts content while viewing in the breathtaking beaches and scenery in Jaltemba Bay. Take a glass bottom boat ride to Isla Islote for some snorkeling or set off on a whale watching expedition to see the magnificent humpback whales and dolphins abundant in this area...

Hire a tour guide to take you sports fishing, for marlin, sailfish, tuna and dorado; or simply to explore beautiful Jaltemba Bay and the miles of pristine beaches north and south of Los Ayala, all the way to Chacala...

Explore the Jungle in the Riviera Nayarit
Walk to the summit of the hills framing Los Ayala for breathtaking views and postcard perfect pictures. Hike or horseback ride through the surrounding tropical rainforest of the Sierra Vallejo mountains; the habitat of jaguars, wild boar, armadillos, coatimundi, and a myriad of tropical birds. Hike from Los Ayala beach to the wildly spectacular beach of Punta Raza; or even all the way to Lo de Marcos.

Walk the Beaches of Jaltemba Bay
Head north up the hill leading out of Los Ayala and walk the length of the spectacular beach of Rincon de Guayabitos. If the tide is low walk across the estuary to La Penita beach; scramble over the rocks at the end of the beach and walk for miles along the beaches of Boca de Narjana.

Take a Day Trip
Sign up for a tour to visit the historic town of San Blas and Tovara Springs. Visit the Petroglyphs of Alta Vista and the hot springs of Jamurca. Shop in Las Varas for leather sandals. Tour the fossil museum at Compostela. Explore the Riviera Nayarit north and south of Los Ayala, and discover one of many charming beach towns; Lima de Abajo, Chacala, Lo De Marcos, Playa San Francisco - also called San Pancho, and Sayulita. Rent a car and head north to discover a deserted beach to call your own.

Just for Fun
Participate in a yoga class on the beach; take lessons in Spanish or Salsa dance; participate in a local art class; or hone your photography skills. Try some of the unique local fruits including yaca; specialties like blackened fish and ceviche; and satiate your sweet tooth with coconut cookies, caramelized pecans, and the best ice cream - anywhere! Finish the day at Vista Guayabitos; enjoy the incredible view and simply the best margaritas in Jaltemba Bay.

Shop & Visit an Art Gallery
In Los Ayala, for souvenirs, resort ware and sandals; in Rincon de Guayabitos for resort ware; and at La Penita's famous Tiangus for silver, turquoise and leather jewelery; Mexican blankets, rugs, pottery and Indigenous artisan crafts. Check out the Art Gallery at Xaltemba; and purchase some folkloric art or an authentic Mexican hammock at Hamaca Maya. Take the collectivo or a taxi back to Los Ayala, and indulge in a shrimp burger smothered in cheese at Restaurant Charly.

Go Dancing or Take in a Show
Enjoy some Folkloric dancing in Los Ayala's Town Plaza; enjoy lunch or dinner at Vista Guayabitos or Xaltemba Restaurant & Galeria in La Penita de Jaltemba for some fine dining and exceptional entertainment. End the day by attending a Mexican Fiesta in Los Ayala's Town Plaza or dancing the night away at our local disco - "Green Please"

Participate in Our Community
Volunteer a few hours of your time to help out with the recycling or animal rescue program in Jaltemba Bay; or lend a hand by helping out at the local schools. Or attend one of the many fundraisers hosted by the community for a truly memorable experience.
