Los Ayala
Local Beaches
"Senoritas"
The spanish equivelent of "Miss" but it is more than a just a gender description. It is a special title for girls who are fifteen and older, and for single women.
Playa Los Ayala
Locals say with pride that Los Ayala is Pacific Mexico's best swimming beach. No wonder. The warm Pacific blue waters are crystal clear, and emerald green on the calmest of days.
The kilometer long beach is lined with swaying palms and adorned with soft, gold flecked sand. The sandy shore slopes gradually and the ocean waters are calm enough for children and non-swimmers.
Playa del Beso
(Playa Freideras & Playa Friderita)
Playa del Beso, translates to mean "Beach of the Kiss". To access this beautiful, generally secluded beach, walk to the south end of Los Ayala beach and up the steep, but short trail. If you follow this trail to the end and you will find yourself on Playa del Beso.
Bring your snorkel gear! When the tide is high and the ocean is calm there is some decent snorkeling around rocks, between Los Ayala and Play del Beso and along on the rocky shoreline of Playa Frideras.
