Los Ayala's Annual Dessert Buffet & Dance was attended by 167 hardy, devoted folks who braved the light rain. Yes, it rained! Nevertheless both the show and the feast went on!
The students of Los Ayala's elementary school entertained the crowd with a "Folkloric Dancing Show" and some very amusing skits. Orlando and his band the L.A. Connection had the crowd dancing until around 10 p.m. despite the light rain.
Orlando of the L.A. Connection
Orlando plays at the Pina Loca Restaurant in Guayabitos every Monday night during the winter season, collecting money for the Los Ayala Kindergarten. You will find the LA Connection playing every Thursday at the Paradise Sports Bar & Grill on Highway 200 just across from the Los Ayala exit sign. The students of Los Ayala's Elementary School put on a great show!

No doubt, the the light rain did put a damper on the events attendance. This year just 167 folks attended which is significantly lower then the average of 250-280 who attend the Dessert Buffet & Dance every year.
However, folks who attended were very generous; and because everything at this event is donated, we still expect the final numbers to be great. The final tally for the monies raised will be available in the March 2012 Edition of the Los Ayala news.
"Educacion"
When Mexicans say "he (or she) doesn't have any education", they do not mean the person has not been schooled in math and so on. they mean he or she has not been taught or absorbed the finer points of Mexican Culture - good manners, respect for ones parents and seniors, self-respect and a highly honed sense of dignity.
