The bus fare for the long distance bus from La Penita to the central bus station in Puerto Vallarta is ~100 pesos. The bus fare is just 85 pesos from Los Ayala, but first you have to walk to the highway; and hail the bus on the highway. It is far easier to take the collectivo from Los Ayala to La Penita and catch the Pacifico bus from the bus station in La Penita.
The taxi fare from the central bus station to Walmart costs ~ 70 pesos. Add 9-12 pesos for each bus ride you take in town. The round trip to Puerto Vallarta by bus costs 250 pesos; or 350 pesos if you choose to take the taxi to the central bus station.
