Hamaca Maya specializes in handmade Mayan hammocks made by the finest woman's Mayan Weavers' Cooperatives in Mexico. Each hammock contains ~ two miles of thread and takes approximately two weeks to weave. The hammocks are colourful, beautifully intricate and last for years. This delightful shop is also stocked with a wide array of colourful and unique, decorative items and Mexican Folk Art.

Mexican woman who are especially sensual and have strong sexual drives, both of which are traditionally taboo for women, after they marry, are referred to as "Mucha Mujer", which literally means "much woman" or "very womanly". It is the female equivalent of "muy macho" (very manly).
