   Meet Manuel Cardenas Sr. & Maria de Jesus Soyz Cardnias who visited Los Ayala on vacation. They were immediately smitten with surrounding nature, the pretty beach, and the welcoming small town feel. Shortly thereafter they moved to Los Ayala from Guadalajara.

Robin & Henry Fremont
   
Robin and Henry Fremont who were married in La Penita and during their stay fell in love with the Jaltemba Bay area. Soon thereafter they purchased a vacation home in Los Ayala, and now they enjoy spending their winters here with their seventeen year old dog, Bear. Read their story...

     Buying a beachfront vacation home, in Mexico was a big leap of faith for this couple from the prairies of Canada. A leap of faith, that they are happy they took. Terri and Garry say that they have met many, wonderful, sincere people in the community of Los Ayala, who they are proud to call friends. Terri, still can’t believe that a prairie couple like them, own a vacation home, just steps from the ocean. Mi casa es su casa!

Bos & Margaret
Meet Los Ayala Local Folks, Margaret and Bos who came to Los Ayala for a two week holiday, vowing to each other that, even though their friends were building a home in Los Ayala, that they were here for a holiday and that they would not even look at property. Guess what! Within a week they were signing papers in a Notario's office and the owners of a Fixer Upper a block away from their friends.

Meet Judy and Walter, a Canadian couple who vacationed in Mexico for many years and had plans to build a vacation home in Bucerias. Instead they chose to buy a home in Los Ayala, as they were charmed by the friendly locals, and in particular dining at the restaurants in Los Ayala. Meet Judy, Walter and Chiquita their adorable Mexican dog.

     Los Ayala is the first and only place in Mexico they have visited. Like most visitors to the area they fell in love with Los Ayala at first sight and made the life changing decision to sell their home in Canada in order to fulfill their dream of living in Mexico, full time.

    Meet Francine & Claude, a couple from Quebec, Canada who were headed to Lake Chapala; visited and fell in love with Los Ayala. They bought a condominium at Villas Marena and are
enjoying life as snowbirds, spending all their winters in Los Ayala.

Elaine & Morris Smith

     Elaine and Morris first visited Los Ayala in the early 1970s. At that time Los Ayala had no streets, electricity, potable water, or telephones, and the elementary school was just a small square cleared in the jungle with a chicken wire fence enclosing a few desks for the students. They bought a home in 1995 and have lived their dream for seventeen years. Since that time, Elaine has established a very successful Learning Center and Library in Los Ayala.

Martin Torres
    Meet Martin Torres, or "Tapi" as he is called by his friends. Martin came to Los Ayala for a three day work project, bring the family along for a beach vacation.  They fell in love with the beautiful beach and friendly locals, and decided to make Los Ayala their home forever.

    Their permanent home is in Saskatoon, Canada which is known for its' frigid winters... No wonder they choose the warm, tropical climes of Los Ayala, Nayarit for their vacation home!

     In 2004 Rhonda and Tony, decided to book a vacation and enjoyed a one week stay at an-all inclusive resort in Rincon de Guayabitos. In 2005 they decided their two young children were ready for Mexico and they enjoyed a family vacation at an all inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta... In 2006 they decided to take vacation in Los Ayala, even though they did not have a clue as to where it was! In 2009 they purchased a home in Los Ayala, and lived here for three full months on a full time basis. Read their story about adapting to life in Los Ayala, Mexico.

  Lori is  known as "Los Ayala's Pippi Longstocking," a fitting description since adventure always seems to find her wherever she goes - whether she seeks it or not! She first visited Jaltemba Bay in 2007 and while on vacation, became enamoured of Los Ayala, because as an avid hiker and paddler it resembled a huge playground, so much so that before she returned home to Canada she bought a small lot, and left a piece of her heart behind.

   Meet Teresa Garcia, who is from Guadalajara and has enjoyed the luxury of owning a vacation home in Los Ayala for over 22 years. She chose Los Ayala because she loves beaches and she says that Los Ayala offers the prettiest, absolute best swimming beach in Pacific Mexico!
