Happening in JBay
The community of Los Ayala hosted a Mexican Fiesta as part of a fundraising initiative to raise funds to improve the infrastructure in Los Ayala. As with Los Ayala's Town Plaza, Romy Mora, Regidora of Jaltemba Bay received approval for Los Ayala's Infrastructure Fundraiser to be part of the Mexican Governments "3 for 1 Program" which means that the funds raised by the community will be matched "3 for 1" by the Mexican Government.
The infrastructure project is estimated to cost $1,000,000 - $1,200,000 pesos, and Los Ayala needs to raise twenty five percent of the funds, ~ $250,000 pesos before Semana Santa 2012! Work will begin as soon as we raise the first $100,000 pesos.
The Fiesta was attended by approximately 300 people, and the show was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
